Welcome to Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy

Catholic schools have earned a longstanding reputation for excellence across the country, and we're excited to be able to offer local students the opportunity to attend a Catholic high school close to home. Opened in fall 2011, young men and women in Centre County are able to combine a rigorous academic education with a faith based environment at Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy.

Located in Boalsburg, SJCA delivers a complete education, emphasizing excellence in mind, body and soul for both Catholic and non-Catholic students. Small classes taught by exceptional teachers will help students achieve their full potential.

SJCA offers a classical sequence of courses at the College Prep, Honor or Honors, and Advanced Placement level. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students to excel at leading colleges and universities. Career planning services help students realize their unique abilities, helping them select electives in their junior and senior years from courses in Science and Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Pre-Engineering and Business.

What truly sets Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy apart, however, is the fact that throughout the curriculum, we weave an emphasis on faith, scholarship, leadership and Christian service. In collaboration with families and the community, we foster a life of faith and scholarship grounded in Christian spirituality, academic excellence and the Gospel values of integrity, respect, service and justice.

SJCA opened in fall 2011 for ninth- and tenth-graders, expanding to include juniors in 2012 and seniors in 2013. We invite your child to become part of our school and to learn firsthand how excellence grows through faith.
