Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance is available to all students attending SJCA through two programs: Financial Aid and Work Study. Families are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid.
Financial Aid
To be considered for EITC 2nd Century Funds or the SJCA Capital Campaign Endowment Fund, families need to complete an online application. An independent agency, FACTS evaluates families' financial circumstances and informs the school of each family's level of need. All financial awards are based on the determination of FACTS. If a family needs tuition assistance in addition to the amount indicated by FACTS, they are to contact the principal, and not the individual parish priest. Tuition assistance awards will be given in the order of registration.
Work Study
Work Study provides funds that are earned through various after school or summer opportunities. The purpose of Work Study is to give families the opportunity to receive additional aid on top of the aid established by FACTS. The number of Work Study opportunities are limited. This program is based on financial need and students must be accepted into the program.
Tuition Payment Options
SJCA provides multiple tuition payment options. Five tuition payment options are available. All tuition payments are made through the FACTS Tuition Management. Tuition payments are automatically deducted from a family's bank account or debit card.
- Annually
- Biannually
- Quarterly
- Monthly over a 10-month period
- By making other payment arrangements in advance
Please see the Financial Aid Fact Sheet for payment information specific to the 2012-2013 school year.
If at any time during this year, a family is unable to meet a tuition payment, the school will make every effort to work with the family.
International Students
International students will pay the undiscounted cost of education, without the benefits of Diocesan, Parish, 2nd Century Funds or Capital Campaign Endowment Funds. Also, SJCA requires each international student to purchase a meal plan, uniforms, and provide proof of health insurance.
